A new month brings a new life

With a new job, everything is coming together.  I am one of those people that enjoys work more than anything.  It just leaves me fulfilled knowing that I've done something with my day.  And to have a job I am so passionate about, where I get to learn everyday and help others is just icing on the job-flavored cake.  Pics of the new place coming soon, but here for some inspiration, workplaces inspiration in white.

Biking Break Down

As the big move looms closer, I have been thinking more and more about bikes.  In an ideal world, I would love to run errands by bike, as well as just be able to bike for fun.  (Unfortunately, my job does require a car, so going completely car-less is out of the question right now)  In said ideal world, my bike would also be terribly adorable.

Isn't this scooter by ReForm School simply adorable.  Loving the color, and it was a bike, I might buy it in a second.  I'm not too sure about the idea of using a scooter to get around on though.

Of course, there is always Public Bikes, which always seem to come up when any designer is looking at new transportation options.  And who can blame bloggers for being in love with these bikes?  The D8 is gorgeous, and you simply can't go wrong with that bright green color, but at just under a thousand dollars, this is going to be one of those bikes that I admire from afar for a long time.

I'll probably end up picking up a cheaper model in the end--after all, Target does have some cute models--but a girl can dream, can't she?

Craving Color

The cold weather and gray skies have me craving pops of bright color throughout the house. (Either that or just giving up and sleeping all day)  The perfect cure?  Browsing these amazing photographs by Francoise Rachez.  Can't decide whether I want to go to Paris or buy all of her prints right now.  Can I vote for both?

Perfectly Covetable

It's a well-known fact among my friends that I am somewhat of a an extreme Marimekko fan.  On my recent trip to Denmark, I fell in love with the Finnish textile giant.  Whatever the color, Marimekko always seems to bring a smile to my face, so you can imagine my excitement when I found their new Crate and Barrel line in stores on Friday.  My favorite?  This geometrical and whimsy shower curtain (also available in bed linen form).  With the new apartment looming, this may just be "the one."
